Welcome to the Buckeye Showdown!

July 9, 10 and 11, 2010

We are proud to announce that on Thursday July 8 there will be an excellent college recruiting camp at the Ohio State University Softball Complex.  This will be one of only 6 camps of its type in the country.  We have been involved in fastpitch softball for 20 years and we believe these camps are the best college exposure camps in the country.  Please go to www.nfca.org for more details and to sign up to participate.  You may sign up even if you are not playing in the Buckeye Showdown.

The Buckeye Showdown takes place in the heart of Ohio softball country. With 31 diamonds, Berliner Sports Park boasts the largest softball facility in the United States. 5 miles from downtown Columbus, the park is a short drive to regional activities such as Zoombezi Bay, the Columbus Zoo, COSI and the Ohio State University main campus.

Want to play some good competition and at the same timetry to qualify for the ASA Eastern Nationals - either at the "A" or "B" level. Well this is your chance. With our unusual format, multi-bids will be awarded at both levels for each age group.  The number of bids depend on the number of teams registered per age group.

As with all Fastpitch Showdowns, games will be 90 minutes long which gives you a better chance to get in a full game. And with 6 games minimum at that length for each team,you know that,win or lose,your girls will enjoy plenty of softball and make your weekend worthwhile.

So to qualify or not to qualify, come join the fun.

• $25 discount to all first time NFCA Members.  Please click here to download membership form.  Membership form MUST be mailed to Fastpitch Showdowns with your entry form for discount to apply.

• NFCA Official Recruiting Information Sheet -- ATTENTION ALL 16U and 18U Coaches - We are compiling a tournament roster information booklet for all of the College Coaches.  This official sheet MUST be filled out by all 16U and 18U teams and faxed to us at 419-841-6484 by June 15th.  There is no cost to you and this is the best way for the College Coaches to be aware of your team and who is on it.  The quicker you get it to us, the quicker we can get it to the coaches.
